History

The Rosanna Bowling Club was formed on the 26th May, 1960, and as a result secured a 40 year lease, in 1961, over 4 blocks of land with a frontage totalling 200 feet.. In the same year 100 men and 60 ladies were signed as foundation members.
In 1962 twelve rinks on a new green were opened by the Vice President of the then RVBA, and the first building was completed for the Club. 1963 saw the first pennant match being played.
Over the ensuing years many improvements were made to the Club in the form of the gaining of a liquor licence, a new two story clubhouse incorporating entertainment facilities, installation of an automatic watering system, extension of the green to incorporate sixteen rinks and the installation of a 50,000 litre water tank, to name some.
Today the Club has 200 members and fields five sides in Saturday pennant, three in Tuesday pennant and one Night pennant side and it has a healthy social activities program providing for a variety of functions throughout the year.
